Gardasil Studies Stacked and
Dangerous!
The study claims that Gardasil's side effects are
rare and continue to occur at the same rate they did in the clinical
trials.
But what they don't tell you is that those trials were a sham and
staged for the drug company's success, not for your health.
Instead of giving the control group a true placebo, they gave them one
that was aluminum-based. To the untrained eye, this can make the results
look convincing--and that's what the drug company is banking on.
But the truth is, the aluminum-based placebo pills alone can cause side
effects like nerve damage, the deck was stacked. So it's no wonder the
drug wasn't that bad compared to the placebo--they were both equally
dangerous!
But the cat's already out of the bag, and a growing number of doctors,

Dozens of young girls have died after getting this vaccine. Others have
experienced disabling nerve damage, and some have even gotten ALS -- Lou
Gehrig's disease.
Even one of the top researchers behind the vaccine's clinical trials,
who has been paid by Merck to speak about its supposed wonders, is now
publicly questioning it.
No, I didn't just make that up. Dr. Diane Harper told CBS News in August
that some of the side effects could make the vaccine riskier than the
cervical cancer it's supposed to stop.
Remember, this is the same company that rushed Vioxx through the system,
and we know how that turned out. Some folks even say Merck's HPV vaccine
really stands for "Help Pay for Vioxx."

Acid-Reducing Medicines
May Lead to Dependency
Data suggests proton pump inhibitors can induce acid-related symptoms in healthy
adults
Bethesda, MD (July 1, 2009) ? Treatment with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs)
for eight weeks induces acid-related symptoms like heartburn, acid regurgitation
and dyspepsia once treatment is withdrawn in healthy individuals, according to a
new study in Gastroenterology, the official journal of the American
Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Institute.
"The observation that more than 40 percent of healthy volunteers, who have
never been bothered by heartburn, acid regurgitation or dyspepsia, develop such
symptoms in the weeks after cessation of PPIs is remarkable and has potentially
important clinical and economic implications," said Christina Reimer, MD, of
Copenhagen University and lead author of the study. "This study indicates
unrecognized aspects of PPI withdrawal and is a very strong indication of a
clinically significant acid rebound phenomenon that needs to be investigated in
proper patient populations."

LENAS COMMENT: If you have heartburn, acid reflux, gastroesophageal reflux
disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease or any acid-related condition, chances are
very high that you've been offered a prescription for a proton pump inhibitor
(PPI)
[PPIs like Prilosec, Nexium and Prevacid are among the most commonly prescribed
drugs in the world, and their use for treating acid-related symptoms is
increasing rapidly.]
But these drugs are not only vastly overused... they're very dangerous as well.
To start, they actually CAUSE the very type of symptoms that they're intended to
prevent if you stop taking them.
In the study above, more than 40 percent of healthy volunteers experienced
heartburn, acid regurgitation and dyspepsia (pain and fullness in your abdomen)
in the weeks after stopping the drugs. These were symptoms they did NOT have
before!
It appears the drugs lead to "rebound acid hypersecretion," which is an increase
in gastric acid secretion above pre-treatment levels within two weeks of
stopping the drugs.
Essentially, because these drugs slam the brakes on the acid-producing pumps in
your stomach, when you stop taking them that built-up acid can be unleashed with
a vengeance.
Meanwhile, studies show that up to 33 percent of people taking PPIs continue to
refill their prescriptions without an apparent need for them. Could it be that
many of these people continue to refill their prescriptions because they have
severe withdrawal symptoms each time they run out - and are assuming they need

than it is to exercise every day."

The Bashful Bulb
This vegetable has gained popularity in our household and neighborhood
as much more than just a great food. More on the reason later.
Beets or beetroot! So bashful they keep their heads in the ground.

I don't know how true it is but it is said that Beets reminded early
cooks of a bleeding animal when they cut them open, so they started
calling them "beets." This was derived from the French word b?e, meaning
"beast."
Some refer to this purplish wonder as beets others as beetroot. Either
way is correct. Some people only eat the root bulb but the greens are
very nutritional and tasty and one of my favorites.
Once you've tasted fresh beets in the peak of their season from June
through October, you'll delight in their sweetness and versatility. I
should mention that they have the highest sugar content of all the
vegetable kingdom. There are factories that process the sugar from the
beets, called Sugar Beet Factories!
Beets and beet greens contain the health building minerals calcium,
Iron, magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Zinc, Copper, Manganese,
Selenium along with the vitamins C, B-6, B-12, A, E, Thiamin,
Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic acid, Folate, and Retinol. It would
appear that this combination of nutrients dissolve kidney stones and
gallstones. I?ve seen that happen in every single person I recommended
it to!

You need;
8 medium sized Organic Beets (must be organic)

Juice together beets and apples then add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon ionic
balanced minerals in first 3 glasses, before 4pm as the energy produced

This concoction relieves pain and dissolves stones or makes it pain free
to pass them.
Experts believe that the red pigmentation of beetroot contains certain
anti-cancer agents. Beetroot has for many years been used as a treatment
for cancer in Europe. Specific anti-carcinogens are bound to the reddish/purple
coloring, which is said to fight against cancer and said that beetroot
also increases the uptake of oxygen by as much as 400 percent.
Additional studies have added support to these claims.
The green leafy part of the beetroot contains beta-carotene and other
carotenoids, (Carotenoid refers to plant pigments - of which there is
a family of about 600 different types. These all function as
antioxidants. The yellow, orange, and many of the red pigments in
fruits, vegetables, and plant materials are usually carotenoids.)
The roots and greens are especially good for women during their
menstrual period and those planning pregnancy.
Preparing raw beets requires a mindset; put on an apron,
to catch the splatter and roll up your sleeves. Next, tell yourself that
for that entire day you will be the proud owner of a pair of red hands ?
unless your wear gloves - that look like you just killed someone. Then,
get to work on the beets.
For salads, cut off the root and stem ends, peel and coarsely grate the
beets. Place them on the top of an individual salad as a garnish or
serve them in a separate bowl tossed with seasoned rice vinegar to be
passed at the table. If you toss the beets into the salad, the entire
salad will blush. Sometimes this may be a desired effect when you want
to give your veggies a rosy glow.
Beets are famous for blushing or, more commonly called bleeding. To
reduce bleeding and preserve more of the flavor as well as the
nutrients, cut beet tops off, leaving at least 1" of stems intact.
Usually when you buy fresh beetroot it will still have the leaves and
stalks attached. To cook the beetroot simply cut off the stalks making
sure to leave some of the stalk in tact as it helps to hold in the
nutrients.
Cooked:
Do not peel. Beetroot can be steamed or cooked in boiling water. Cooking
time can be from 20 to 50 minutes depending on the size of the beetroot
and your desire for soft or crunchy. Test the beetroot with a skewer:
when it's soft to your desire, remove it from the heat and cool it under
running water - this will make the skin easier to remove for serving.
Try raw:
Grated finely can add to other vegetables.
Mix grated beetroot with raspberry vinegar or seasoned rice vinegar.
Mix grated beetroot, grated orange rind and orange juice for a tasty
salad.
Plain grated beetroot is great on hamburgers or veggie burgers.
Varied serving tips:
You can serve cooked beetroot as a hot vegetable accompaniment to a
meal; or allow it to cool and slice it to put on a homemade burger. Cut
into cubes and stir-fry it with some steamed cubed potatoes and pumpkin.
Add a little garlic and some diced onions ? this makes a delicious
vegetable dish to serve with the rest of your meal.
Roasted: To roast the beets, its best to peel them and cut off
the root and the stem ends. Slice them, toss or spray with a tablespoon
or two of Virgin Olive oil, and spread them out on a roasting pan. Roast
at 400 for about 25 - 30 minutes or to your taste, turning mid way
through. To add a little pizzazz, when tossing them in the oil prior to
roasting, sprinkle with salt and some dried thyme, dill, marjoram, or
oregano add onion chunks for more flavor.
Prepare the greens as close to the purchase time as possible to retain
all those health benefits. Wash them thoroughly, and coarsely chop. Add
enough water to cover the bottom of the saucepan by 1/2". Squeeze in the
juice of one half lemon and add a little salt, onion powder, lemon
pepper and a hint of cayenne. PACK greens into a smaller saucepan than
you might think you need--one bunch of beet greens cooks down to
practically nothing! Cook uncovered over high heat, which allows some
of the oxalic acid in the greens to escape, a desirable process, since
oxalic acid inhibits the absorption of calcium contained in the greens.
Today's recipe is from a former patient whose mother won a Betty Crocker
baking contest with it years ago and $10,000 but she gave the recipe to
me and didn?t say not to pass it on, so don't worry about it being a
copywrite problem? This is oh so good and even my kids and grandkids eat
it and love it? Of course they have no idea what is in it? Color is nice
as well as delightful flavor?
Beet Cake

Oil and flour 2 round cake pans or tube pan
Heat oven to 350?
Ingredients:
1 ? cups olive oil
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon sea salt or 1 teaspoon table salt
1 cup crushed pineapple (drained)
1 cup Flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts (pecan or walnuts)
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup shoestring beats with juice
Begin by;
Beating with mixer olive oil, sugar, eggs until thick and lemon yellow;
Add to it flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, salt mix for 2 to 3
minutes.
Add and Mix by hand the following
Crushed pineapple (drained), coconut, chopped nuts, cottage cheese
Mix well then add beats with juice and stir until mixed thoroughly and
evenly colored.
Pour even amounts into 2 cake pans.
Put into oven and 350?, bake 1 hour or until cake springs back when
touched lightly. Tube pan will require about 75 minutes baking time.
This is best frosted with the old fashioned Philadelphia Frosting below;
Cream together the following ingredients for philly frosting'
1- box powdered sugar
1- stick (4 oz.) butter
1- tsp pure vanilla flavor
When creamed put one-fourth of the icing on the first cake layer and
spread. Top that with second cake layer and frost whole cake or just the
top, either way works well? refrigerate until ready to eat.
Enjoy this delightfully healthy dessert!

PS: Even though the
beet/apple/minerals juice works well in dissolving stones it's a lot
smarter to simply prevent them! Preventing stones in your body requires
balancing minerals on a consistent daily basis!
NOTE: Sadly food
alone cannot yield all the necessary healthy nutrients - especially
balance of minerals - as they did in centuries past, so we can't rely
totally on our food intake! Because of the lack of nutrients in our
soils and the pollutants added in the form of air pollution, pesticides,
herbicides and fertilizers important nutrients are almost nonexistent
and we know the body is not capable of producing minerals with even the
healthiest of diets, as it can vitamins, and must be obtained from our
foods or daily supplemented...

The Most
Common Complaint I Heard While Working As A Medical Office

CONSTIPATION! Yes, there was not a day that this complaint
wasn't brought into the doctor at least once but most times
several times a day. Today I get calls or emails from people
suffering with chronic constipation, asking how to stop
constipation?
Constipation isn't something most people want to talk about,
except to their doctor. Yet is a major concern for many
people. This should not come as a surprise considering the
standard foods eaten is heavy on red meat, processed food,
sugars and preservatives, but low on fiber.
Yogurt ads call it irregularity, a nice word for constipation!
Several causes exist that set up the digestive environment for
constipation (irregularity).
Since most of today's foods are prepackaged, processed and very
low to no fiber and lacking balanced minerals and missing
natural flora as well as void of digestive enzymes therefore
setting us up for digestive problems, it shouldn't be a surprise
that this is such a wide spread complaint.
Without adequate fiber and
sufficient balance of minerals, balanced natural intestinal
flora and digestive enzymes, bowel movements slow down or stop.
Why is that dangerous to your health? Slowing down or stopping means leaving waste matter in your
intestines too long allowing toxins to be absorbed into your
bloodstream. Those toxins can cause inflammation in your gut
while increasing the workload for the liver and kidneys. That
inflammation then creates the environment for GERD (gastro
esophageal reflux) Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or
Diverticulitis, all is very painful and can cause either
constipation and/or diarrhea.
Clearly, constipation is more than just an uncomfortable
inconvenience.
Normal bowel function is essential to your overall health as
80% of your immune system resides in your digestive tract. When it isn't functioning correctly your
immune system isn't working leaving your body open to easily
contract any illness and.or disease that you come in contact with!
What is "normal" bowel function?
Unfortunately, we have a general misconception about proper
bowel function and what a healthy human stool actually should be. Even
medical schools teach upcoming doctors that a normal stool is
"well-formed and tubular". But, history and cultures around the
world with healthy, plant-based diets, before the soils lost
their nutrients and all of mans processed and fast foods, show us that this isn't
the case. And as you may already know, "well-formed" stool can
be difficult to pass. In some cases causing constipation to the
point of having to have the stool manually removed.
Also, you may have heard that you only need to have one bowel
movement a day. Not so! You should be moving your bowels more
than once a day, and ideally two or three times a day. After
all, most people eat three meals daily, and each meal creates
its own waste products that need to be eliminated. Normal bowel
movements should occur within an hour after each meal but in our
world that is not happening very often and yet wonder why so
many are ill. Not really a mystery! When the bowels aren't working correctly your
immune system is weak or dead, as the stomach and intestines
contain 80% of the immune system. Thus setting you up for
serious illness or life threatening disease!
How to move those bowels along?
Without a doubt, one of the first things you should do if
you suffer with constipation or other digestive woes is to
get more healthy fiber into your daily diet. Be aware that
there are two kinds of fiber, insoluble and soluble.
Insoluble fiber, which is found in most whole grains and
high-fiber cereals, is a good colon cleanser and helps
provide the essential "mass" to keep your digestive tract moving
properly yet does not provide natural flora production.
Soluble fiber swells up and forms a gel when mixed with
water. This gel creates bulk in the stool and also acts as a
lubricant/loosener to help the stool pass more easily. It also prolongs stomach
emptying time, slows the release of sugars into your blood
stream, promoting more normal cholesterol levels and insulin
distribution and improves
overall intestinal health. Found in raw fruits and vegetables,
which gives some assistance in the intestines ability to produce
natural flora.
Americans should eat 25-30 grams of fiber a day, but most
consume much less than half that per day. Aim to increase
your daily fiber intake, and make at least 25 percent of your
dietary fiber the soluble form. Sadly, fiber is not the whole
answer to your intestinal health, only one step!
Necessary to overall health of the whole body, as well as the
digestive tract requires daily balanced minerals, which support
healthy natural flora and strengthen the digestive system!
Getting a minerals balance is much different than eating
enough healthy foods. Yes, foods contain some but are so short
in the amount that it is imperative that you supplement daily to
reach a balance. Our body can only get minerals from our foods
and these days that is impossible as our ground no longer
contains them or eating of prepackaged, processed fast foods making it impossible to get them. This step is
imperative for total health prevention as well as healing!

He/She has no healthy answer. They will tell you to take fiber,
that's good, but they have no idea that the lack of a minerals,

suffered constipation, the next step to stop chronic
constipation, but without the doctor's knowledge. Most doctors

COMMENT: I have not read this study and cannot say how accurate
it is but we've known for many years that chlorine byproducts
create cancers of all types therefore it's not a far stretch to
say respiratory illnesses can be created by them as well!
Is Swimming Pool Chlorine Fueling The Allergy
Epidemic?

NEW YORK - Swimming in a chlorinated pool may boost the odds
that a child susceptible to asthma and allergies will develop
these problems, a study released today indicates.
"These new data clearly show that by irritating the airways of
swimmers chlorination products in water and air of swimming
pools exert a strong additive effect on the development of
asthma and respiratory allergies such as hay fever and allergic
rhinitis," Dr. Alfred Bernard, a toxicologist at the Catholic
University of Louvain in Brussels, Belgium, noted in an email to
Reuters Health.
"The impact of these chemicals on the respiratory health of
children and adolescents appears to be much more important -- at
least by a factor of five -- than that associated with
secondhand smoke," Bernard noted.
Taken together with his team's prior studies, he added, "There
is little doubt that pool chlorine is an important factor
implicated in the epidemic of allergic diseases affecting the
westernized world."
In the current study, Bernard and colleagues compared the health
of 733 adolescents, 13 to 18 years old, who swam in chlorinated
outdoor and indoor pools for various amounts of time with that
of 114 "control" adolescents who swam mostly in pools sanitized
with a concentration of copper and silver.
In children with allergic sensitivities, swimming in chlorinated
pools significantly increased the likelihood of asthma and
respiratory allergies, the researchers report in the journal
Pediatrics.
Among "sensitive" adolescents, the odds for hay fever were
between 3.3- and 6.6-fold higher in those who swam in
chlorinated pools for greater than 100 hours and the odds of
allergic rhinitis were increased 2.2- to 3.5-fold among those
who logged more than 1000 hours of chlorinated pool time.
For example, among children and teens who swam in chlorinated
pools for 100-500 lifetime hours, 22 children out of 369 (6.0%)
had current asthma, compared with those who had spent less than
100 hours (2 of 144, 1.8%). The proportions with asthma rose
with longer exposure, to 14 out of 221 (6.4%) who had been
swimming for 500-1000 hours, and 17 out of 143 (11.9%) who swam
for more than 1000 hours.
The risk of asthma and allergy was not influenced by swimming in
copper-silver sanitized pools and children without allergic
tendencies were not at increased risk of developing allergies.
"The only plausible explanation" for these observations, the
researchers argue, is that the chlorine-based toxic chemicals in
the water or hovering in the air at the pool surface cause
changes in the airway and promote the development of allergic
diseases.
"It is probably not by chance," Bernard told Reuters Health,
"that countries with the highest prevalence of asthma and
respiratory allergies are also those where swimming pools are
the most popular."
The current findings, he and colleagues conclude, "reinforce"
the need for further study on the issue and to enforce
regulations concerning the levels of these chemicals in water
and air of swimming pools.
