Here is more business information to help you but I first would like you to do something for me... A new bill was just introduced in Congress that would require both pharmaceutical and medical device companies to disclose ANY PAYMENTS OR GIFTS made to physicians.

The Physician Payments Sunshine Act of 2008 was introduced by Rep Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) this past March. There are two components of this bill: the House bill applies to all Big Pharma companies with annual revenues of over $1 million (That's pocket change to those guys, so this hopefully means ALL OF THEM!), while the Senate bill covers only companies with more than $100 million in revenue. If the bills pass, the companies would have to state the name of the physicians who'd received payments and - here's the tricky part - the PURPOSE of the payment. How interesting should that be? This data would be posted on the Internet, and would be completely accessible by the public.

This will go a long way in stopping problems that exist now. Not the whole answer but will help.... I use to watch some doctors after the drug representative had visited the office start to prescribe the drug that rep. pushed... We received all kinds of incentive perks from them that this will stop...

Your Marketing Message Must Be Real Clear

Making money with an internet business requires that an exchange take place. This is normally some product or service provided in exchange for money. For that to happen, both parties of the transaction must become aware of each other and then a determination is made as to whether a "sale" occurs. How to become aware of each other and their respective motivations is covered in a multitude of advertising and marketing literature. Underneath what we can see and touch is basic energy, which is even more important according to Bob Proctor and Joe Vitale.

On one of the recordings that he made for the Liberty League and in its accompanying workbook, Bob Proctor talks about how we need to be absolutely clear about the messages that we are sending to our potential customers. If we talk about what is best for the customer but at the same time are thinking about just wanting their money, then we will not be successful. If we have conflicting intentions, then this will be picked up by most of our potential customers and we won't be able to close the transaction. However, when we are truly sincere, at all levels, in wanting to help out customer succeed then the likelihood of a successful transaction increases immensely. Either way, our customer will pick up on the positive or negative vibrations that we are emitting and will react to them, even if they do not consciously know it. Good sales literature also tells us that we will be successful only when we can provide something that the customer will perceive as being beneficial to them. Bob Proctor defines this as being something that will provide them an increase or avoid a decrease. This increase or decrease may be financial, but it could also be in health, power, prestige, or anything else important to the customer. Our job then is to point out how our product or service can meet the client's needs.

Joe Vitale, in his book Spiritual Marketing, goes even further than this. He says that when he wrote a sales letter to offer a service that he didn't believe in, he barely got any replies. When he wrote a sales letter for a software product that he did believe in, he got staggering results. Joe Vitale explains that everything we produce (e.g. cards, letterhead, flyers, sales letters and ads), or hire someone to produce, all carry our energy in them. People who receive the marketing product will sense it. If there is good energy from positive intentions, your prospects are good, but if you are just going through the motions of trying to get money in the door, then the transmitted energy and your prospects are not so good. Joe Vitale quotes Sandra Zimmer, who runs the self-Expression Centre in Houston: "Advertising is important. But it's the energy you put in the ads that does the work. It's really the Law of Attraction at work". So if we do not believe in the product or service that we are selling, we are best to cut your losses now and move on to a product or service that we can believe in. When we do believe in its value and ability to meet customer needs, we should pursue this with vigor.

If we feel good when we are writing and compiling our sales information or talking to people about the value of our products or services then we are on the right track. If we must exaggerate, mislead, or cover-up information, then we are avoiding the truth and no good can come from that. Be honestly proud, not embarrassed of whatever endeavors that you pursue and, in the end, only good results will accrue.

In the volatile world we live in today, any business in the world could be jeopardised by any number of external influences, how can you prepare your business correctly to cope with the unexpected crises that could occur at any time.

With the western world being on a constantly heightened security alert, natural disasters occurring more and more frequently and other threats that have not even been predicted, today's world is a risky place to live in. However with careful planning and foresight, your business and stakeholders do not have to be kept in the dark about possible dangers, problems or risks.

Reliable communication plays a significant role in resolving incidents successfully, and minimising disruption. During times of desperation, simple, clear communication can be a huge life saver. It is human nature to panic when unexpected disasters strike, but as Rudyard Kipling's poem 'If' concurs, "If you can keep your head when all about you  Are losing theirs" you will be able to remain calm, think logically and make the best possible judgments.

The tragic events of the London bombings on the 07/07/2005 not only killed many innocent people but caused mayhem throughout London, and effected many other places in the world. Due to the attacks, most of the mobile phone networks in the UK either did not have any service or had very limited service, this compounded the problems, making communication near impossible. Fortunately the emergency services relied on a separate system which stood up to the extreme circumstances and allowed effective communications between all rescue parties, the London Underground, hospitals, police and other authorities.

In addition to the emergency services, hundreds of corporate businesses relied on the same system as part of their own incident and business continuity. Thousands of businesses across London were kept informed through the city of London Bombwatch scheme.

Any successful business will know the importance of its staff, usually the knowledge, training and experience of the staff means it is the single most important asset of a company. Since staff members are so  crucial, is it not worth taking every precaution in order to protect them from any possible threat? Demonstrating that a company is totally committed to the safety of its staff could also be a huge motivational booster and incentive to work for that company!

A business that is not prepared is completely vulnerable to any unexpected glitch, and will most likely be hit with severe financial problems trying to get back on track. It is a legal requirement for establishments to have a fire evacuation plan and perform regular drills, so why not take the initiative to go one step further and invest in a reliable communications backup to cope in any situation. It's an unfortunate representation of the modern world that such precautions are necessary, but for the added peace of mind and security, every business should not take any chances.

Business continuity and incident management is no longer just for big corporates and globals- every business should be thinking about how their operations may be effected by disaster.
